Wow, was it really a year since our first Environmental Awards ceremony? That said, an awful lot has happened in that year, which is why there was much to celebrate. Nominees were shortlisted from properties across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire, as well as regional office, vying for 10 categories which this year included a special Neptune Award, to celebrate 50 years of the Neptune Campaign. Held again at Anglesey Abbey, the décor this time was heavily ‘Coast’ themed, mostly British although we went further afield with the inflatable crocodile!

The awards are part of our approach to improving environmental performance through behavioural change. It was a fun evening with a serious message of ‘keep up the good work’. Whilst we celebrated achievements such as using 1 million kWh less energy than our baseline year, there’s still a way to go and many challenges ahead.
The event was kindly sponsored by Adnams (Waste-not Winner), Anglian Water Business (Wise Use of Water), Good Energy, Panasonic (Best Energy Reduction at a Property) and Brook Street Foods (Green Kitchen of the Year).

Winners received a beautiful turned plate, made from magnolia from Sheringham Park, as well as a bottle of Adnams’ champagne and a framed certificate
