Screen Shot 2015-04-13 at 17.23.51Today the shortlist appeared for the prestigious 2015 UK Green Business Leaders Awards. the National Trust have been shortlisted under three categories.

  1. National Trust Wales has been shortlisted for Sustainability Team of the year
  2.  Sustainability executive of the year. Our very own Paul Southall
  3. Outstanding project of the year. Plas Newydd Marine Source Heat pump has been shortlisted

For us the Business Green Leaders award is a biggie since the shortlisted projects and teams have been chosen by professionals out in the sustainability field. We where honoured last year when we won the UK outstanding project of the year with the Hafod y Llan farm hydro and renewables project. This year we are short listed under the same category for the National Trust Renewable Energy Investment program Plas Newydd Marine Source Heat pump project. The one Paul and I are proud of is the ‘sustainability team’ of the year. This encompasses the usual suspects in the green team but also Linda, Karen, Enfys and Anne in business support all the way through to the senior managers Emma, Vanessa, Justin… this is a whole team award for National Trust Wales.

what can i say about Mr shortlisted Sustainability Executive of the year. Paul. It is well deserved. He is an inspiration, supportive, enthusiastic, passionate, driven and above all tolerates me! Cross fingers for July the 1st

Best of luck to the other nominees we work with Good Energy, RenewableUK Cymru, Abundance, Innasol Ltd…
